Post-Baccalaureate Teacher of Students w/Disabilities

About the Program

In accordance with the current State regulations, endorsement as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities is only possible if the candidate already holds, or is eligible for, an initial instructional certification with a corresponding subject area major. The Special Education Services/Instruction Department offers two programs for the Post-Baccalaureate Endorsement Teacher of Students with Disabilities. The first is a Post-Baccalaureate Program and the second is a Graduate Certification Program. Which is appropriate for you is dependent upon two main factors: (1) District Reimbursement Policies and Placement on the Salary Scale, and (2) Cost per Credit. With the exception of courses that meet the “or equivalent” criteria, no transfer credits will be accepted. We are also a State approved Alternative Route Program Provider.
